Petal Palette, Muse #152

Hi there,

I have had a good day today, baking this morning with my little boy, followed by him taking a nice long nap (my crafting window).  When Stan woke up, he wanted to do some crafting with mummy, so even more time in the craft room!

Today’s card is inspired by Anita Bowden’s card over at the Muse Card Challenge:

I fell for the beautiful colour palette, the nature theme and the beautiful font of the sentiment.

To make my card, I stamped the bird image in Calypso Coral ink, then masked his feet and stamped the branch image in Wild Wasabi,  I then used Calypso Coral to stamp the flowers and the border element.

The Sentiment comes from the Picture Perfect stamp set – I love the font used for this sentiment and it seemed to fit well with the imagery.  I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then used the tag punch to cut it out.  I added the ribbon, then attached the tag using Dimensionals.  To finish the card, I matted the white card front onto a Wild Wasabi card base.

To add to the design, I also stamped the interior of the card – adding another white layer to make it easier to write your message.

I am sneaking this card in just before the deadline, so will edit the post with product details when I have a little more time.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my post, please leave a comment and let me know what you think, Cx

  1. Thanks for using my card as your inspiration, Christine. I love your bold take on the colour scheme, and it’s a lovely combo of elements.
Thanks so much for playing along at Muse this week, Anita x
