Hi there!
I have a couple of cards for you that have been inspired by the beautiful hand watercolour flowers I have been seeing everywhere at the moment. I wanted to try to recreate the aesthetic, but using stamps and ink.
I have used a combination of 3 stamp sets to help me to achieve this look, and the inks I have used all come from the Subtles range from Stampin’ Up! which made coordinating really easy.
My second card follows the theme, but I was also inspired by the challenge over at AAACards, where you must only use one third of the card space for your design.
This card was super easy to create, just using simple stamping, with some detail added to the main flower using an aqua brush. I think this could be a great design for a wedding invitation or notecard too.
Supplies used:
Stamp sets: Blooms and Wishes (141784); Painted Harvest (144783);Number of Years (140653)
Inks: Subtles Classic Stampin’ Pads (131185); Tuxedo Black Memento Ink (132708); Versamark Pad (102283)
Cardstock: Whisper White Cardstock (106549); Whisper White Thick Cardstock (140490)
Extras: Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder (109129)
I would love to hear what you think of these cards, please leave a comment below! Cx
These cards are stunning Christine! I didn’t think you could achieve that look with Stampin Up! so thank you so much for sharing your inspiration! I was so thrilled to see that I have all 3 of the stamp sets used – I’m in Australia, and a hobby demo, so don’t get around to using every stamp set I own! Cheers, Ann
Thank you Ann. Dig out those sets and have a go! I would love to see what you make. I think the look cane together when I added the details to the flower, but also with some second generation stamping to help to fill the white space a bit. Your comment really made me smile, thanks again! Cx
Love this
I absolutely adore your cards and the second one really rocks the one third element at AAA Cards. Thanks for linking up this gorgeous card.
Thank you Jane, I am very happy at how they turned out
