I’ve been AWOL again, I know… My little family has moved home and I have been without a craft room for a considerable amount of time. Worse in fact, my craft supplies have been boxed up and inaccessible for months. I still don’t have a craft room, but now we have moved I have slowly begun to open up those boxes. I will eventually have a dedicated space but for the moment there are bigger priorities as the new house is very much going to be a “project”.
It is high time I began making my Christmas cards (I have a sneaking suspicion I may have to buy some this year) and I used the MFT Card Challenge blog as a jumping off point with this sketch from Wednesday’s challenge:
This fab Santa is from the Jingle All The Way stamp set, stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured with Spectrum Noir pens. In order to help the image stand out from the strong background I used vellum to frame him and knock back the design paper. To get the red matt to match, I used a red Spectrum Noir pen to make my own coloured card. For a finishing touch I added faux stitching with a white gel pen and some shimmer to Santa’s hat with a Wink of Stella pen.
I really hope you like what you see – it feels really good to be back crafting.
