Hi there!
My new craft room is nearly complete and I am beginning to get more organised! Most importantly I have managed to regain access to my supplies and find some time to craft – at last!
I am entering this card into the Muse Card Challenge, using this adorable card created by Kim Heggins:
I love Kim’s whimsical card and have used a similar stitched central die cut feature to highlight the image on my card, and I have mixed ink blending and alcohol inks to bring colour to the card.
I started off creating the background on my kraft card stock base using a homemade stencil and Colorbox white pigment ink with an ink blending tool. I set this aside to dry and used Spectrum Noir pens to shade the fab MFT image from the Magical Dragons stamp set and then fussy cut him out. I cut out a circular die cut and tried placing this on my card base, but the contrast with the blended white circles was too harsh, so I decided to add a vellum die cut on top, which softened the look. The sentiment is from the same stamp set and I used a piece of washi tape to add a stripe to pull the card together.
I would also like to enter this card into the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge for this week, where anything goes.
It feels really good to be crafting again! Please leave a comment and let me know what you think! Cx
