Running tight against the deadline again so super quick post.
Time Out Challenge is to use the phrase “A woman is like a tea bag – you can’t tell how strong she is until you put her in hot water” by Eleanor Roosevelt.
I have used the sketch from MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge as a starting point:
The stamp is a Prima stamp from Julie Nutting “Lorrena”, stamped in Memento Flannel Grey. I used two different types of washi to paper piece the dress. When using the polka dot washi I tried really hard to try to get the spots slightly off in order to fit the pleats of the dress. The sentiment is from Altenew, stamped in Versamark and embossed in white.
The cue word at CASology this week is “washi”, so hopefully this will fit the bill!
Thank you for taking the time to visit, please leave a comment and let me know what you think! Cx
wow you did a great job of getting the washi into the folds of the dress, so very creative. Thanks for joining TO
What a wonderful card, love the bold pop of red and how you left the rest of the image as line art (I just did this on a card myself last week… great minds)!
Bold and bright and wonderfully vibrant, Chrissie … that ‘pleated’ washi skirt is brilliant! So happy to have you playing along with us at Time Out! Hugs, Anita 🙂
congrats for getting HM at Time Out x
Love how you have done this card, the stamp you used is perfect for this design. Stunning
