So I have had a busy couple of weeks as my lovely sister-in-law has been visiting from Hong Kong with my gorgeous niece and nephew and my husband and I have been trying to spend as much time with them as possible. This has left very little spare time to create or keep in touch with blogland. I was so happy to see this morning that I had won the last challenge over at Time Out Challenges with this card. This has inspired me today to make three cards, two of which will follow in later posts but first I must show you my entry for the Muse Challenge this week as the link up closes shortly:
The gorgeous inspiration at Muse was provided by Marion Vagg. This is such a beautiful design – I love the bold lines of the chevrons mixed with the soft colours and the delicate butterfly:

I came up with an idea straight away but this morphed several times before I came to create it and then several times more as I was making it as I think I had overstretched my ability (I have filled up a rubbish bin with failed attempts!).
For the finished card I used my Silhouette to cut out a mat with a butterfly cut out and a series of chevrons. I then glued the chevrons to a piece of scrap white card and popped the cut out up above this with foam dots after white embossing the sentiment.
Off to link this now, please leave a comment and let me know what you think, Cx

Gasp! Christine, this is just stunning … wonderful white on white on white … fabulous texture and depth … and did I happen to mention how glorious all that white is?! Anita 🙂
Well, WOW! Love the white on white! So glad you joined us at Muse this week!
Fantastic monochromatic card! Great take on the Muse!
This is so beautiful – almost has an ethereal quality to it!
Fabulous – so simple and detailed at the same time!
Great idea to put your chevrons on the inside of the card and leave the butterfly cut open for viewing the inside. Great for a variety of occasions.
This is stunning, Christine! Totally love your card, Jo x
I am in love with this CAS-tastic design! So elegant! Congrats on your well deserved win at Time Out too 🙂
My goodness Chrissy, this is so beautiful! Is there anything you can’t do?! Lots of love, your favourite employee ;P xx
