The Card Concept Challenge this week is to create a Wedding card. For me, one of the best parts of a wedding is the confetti part – friends and family coming together in one moment to shower the newly married couple with love and congratulations. I used this as my inspiration to create my card.
To make my card I created a stencil of circles and used Distress Ink in Salty Ocean to sponge a faint background. Keeping the stencil in place I used a water brush to splatter Distress Inks in Salty Ocean, Mowed Lawn and Picked Raspberry onto the circles. I then dry embossed a series of lines to add some texture to the card and mounted the finished piece onto a kraft card base to complete my clean and layered card.
The whole process was so quick I decided to make a tag to match too.
Please leave a comment and let me know what you think, Cx
What I think of this beautiful card and tag with all the thought and creativity and meaning behind it is a simple W.O.W. Picture me, bowing down! Hugs, Darnell
Great card Christine – I can see this would be a versatile technique for all kinds of cards too, so thanks for this great inspiration!! Rx
Confetti is a great idea! The dry embossing is the perfect touch to finish it off. Very nice!
