I can’t believe it has been a month since I last posted. Life has just kind of caught up with me with work being incredibly busy, a sneaky holiday to France and my sporting obsession coming to the fore with both the World Cup and Wimbledon to contend with.
I have still kept up with some crafting. making some cushion covers, some cards for family and I have also taught myself to crotchet (great to do whilst watching the tennis). I have also been practising using my Spectrum Noir pens which I love!
The most recent challenge over at Muse is to use this inspiration piece from Jennifer Wills:
The things that stuck out for me were the circular window, the dies falling outside the window and the colour scheme. With these in mind, I came up with this:
I started out stamping the Jumbo Peacock from Stampendous and colouring it in with Spectrum Noir alcohol pens. The stamp set comes with a mask which I used to cover the image, I then added a circular mask over the top of this and used Distress Inks in Tumbled Glass and Broken China to shade my window.
With any luck I should be able to get back into the swing of posting regularly, but another tough week at work ahead so no promises!
Would love you to leave a comment and let me know what you think, Cx
Oh Christine, it is lovely to read a post from you and my goodness, what a card you have to share for your come back. This is utterly stunning. I adore the colouring on it and above all your clever masking and blending of the background. I’m much the same as you just now- life is just really taking over just now and so I’m just having to go with the flow!! Xx
Lovely work!!!
Wow, Christine, this is stunning … what a come-back-to-blogland beauty! I’m so with you on the busy-ness … summer time’s just rattling along … a trip to France seems a good use of it though! Anita 🙂
