The Card Concept Challenge this week is a colour inspiration of lime and chocolate. I really struggled with this, in fact I didn’t think I would have anything in lime green to use. After searching through my stash however I came across one piece of lime green paper. No pressure involved then – just one attempt to get it right…
I used the image itself as inspiration as well as the colours and created a layer of circular windows with my Silhouette to sit over my coloured image. I then stamped Hero Arts Flower Dot Pattern in Memento Rich Cocoa ink onto my lime paper and coloured in sections in brown ink.
I have to say I am quite pleased with how it turned out, I may have to invest in some more lime green goodies!
I would class this card as clean and layered – please leave a comment and let me know what you think!
Oh Christine, you made a wonderful card for the CC Colour challenge! I love how your stamped espresso mimics the swirls on the cake pops inspiration photo and your addition of the ribbon folds is such a perfect touch! Great card!
This is very cool, love the effect. Thank you so much for sharing with us at The Card Concept!
Wow, Christine, this is stunning … love how the rich colours pop against the white! Very very cool! Anita 🙂
I like your “literal” approach here – looks like truffles, yummy!!
Amazing, just so beautiful 🙂
Christine, this really turned out wonderfully! Your contemporary design is awesome and love the little tags on the corner. So glad you persevered and shared with us at The Card Concept this week!
Oh…… just love these colours and the technique of stamping the paper and then colouring in. You would only need the one piece of paper, you are one talented lady x Beverley x
