Let us celebrate: a new adventure

Let us celebrate new things.
I have recently rediscovered my crafting mojo. I have been lucky enough to be introduced to Stampin’ Up! a global company that I knew very little about. I have come across a fabulous product and a community of people who love crafting and sharing. I placed my first order and I haven’t stopped crafting since. I have signed up as a demonstrator, in the hope that I too can share this wonderful pastime with my friends and family and hopefully to inspire more people to create.  If you like what you see, click on the links to be taken to my page on the Stampin’ Up! website.

I wanted to focus on one stamp set (I was tempted by so many more).  To start I am going to showcase the Balloon Celebrations stamp set which is one of those incredibly diverse sets that can be used for so many occasions.  Below are a couple of cards I have made:

Balloon celebrations triple balloon

This was really simple, I stamped the background first using one of the decorative stamps, then stamped the focal balloon images onto die cuts, which I raised up using foam sheets.  I added some of the coordinating ribbon to ground the sentiment.

This card was slightly more complex.  I stamped the balloon image and outline first then masked it.  I stamped the cloud image onto some masking tape and cut this out, placing it over the masked balloon.  Using a makeup sponge, I lightly sponged the blue ink around the cloud image to highlight the cloud.  After stamping the sentiment I used a black fineliner pen to draw the double line frame around the card front.

Products used:

Stamp set: Balloon Celebrations (140675)

Inks: Pink Pirouette (126956); Pool Party (126982); So Saffron (126957); Wisteria Wonder (126985); Memento Tuxedo Black Ink (132708)

Ribbon: Shimmer ribbon in powder pink (144151)

Cardstock: Whisper white A4 (106549)

I have made so many more cards with this set.  In my next post I will focus on using some of the decorative stamps to create some backgrounds which give a totally different look.

I really hope you like what you see.  If you would like to purchase any of the products, click on the individual links above, or click here to be taken straight to my Stampin Up! shopping page.
