Another busy week at home with my boy who has so much energy its ridiculous! He is now able to pull himself up and stand so he has made it his mission to explore everything, everywhere!
This card was inspired by the Muse Challenge where our inspiration was this beauty by Anita Bowden:
I was instantly drawn to the great masking Anita has used and the delicate blending of ink to create the stand out sentiment. I also am totally in love with the Henna Elements stamp set by Altenew so knew I wanted to use that too.
To make my card I created a mask with my Silhouette which had a circular hole in it. I then placed this mask onto my card base and very lightly inked Distress Ink in Hickory Smoke around the edge of the mask. Next I stamped my images using Versafine Onyx Black ink. In order to make my sentiment pop I stamped it in Versamark ink onto black card and white heat embossed it. The sentiment is popped up on foam tape for a little dimension.
I hope I haven’t strayed too far from the brief with this one but I love the way it turned out.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post, leave a comment and let me know what you think! Cx
Wow, clever idea to use a circle instead – looks beautiful! xx
I don’t think you’ve strayed at all! to me the challenge means wherever the muse card takes you…. and personally I just love where it took you!:) x
Stunning! I have always loved those flowers stamped simply in b&w! Thanks so much for joining us at Muse this week!
I saw your card on MUSE and was instantly drawn to it! I love the look of the masked circle and think your take on Anita’s card is fabulous! Love it!!
