I recently purchased the fabulous Jungle Fever stamp set from Create a Smile and have fallen in love with the cute little characters. Create a Smile are holding a guest design call for October – check out their gorgeous stamps here, or you can also use one of their freebie digital stamps from here.
I wanted to do something different with the little chameleon stamp and decided to try a new first for me and make a shaker card.
I first cut out the chameleon shape from a card mat and then stamped the image through the hole onto the card base below in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then, using Stazon in black I stamped the image again on to acetate. After colouring the image on the card base with Spectrum Noir pens I assembled the card using foam tape and adding in some beads that I found in my stash. The sentiment is from the same stamp set.
I haven’t stopped smiling since! Love this little guy!
I’m also going to enter this card into the challenge over at Addicted to Stamps where anything goes.
Please leave a comment and let me know what you think, Cx
Such a fun shaker card (I’m really enjoying making them myself too), but using the chameleon and stamping him out on acetate is absolute genius, LOVE it! Good Luck!
How clever to make a shakercard with the chameleon really love it. Glad you joined us over at create a smile.
Cool idea to create the shaker card with a bigger space than the real size of the window – so the shaking-stuff can vanish completely when it’s not in action!
What a cute little gecko guy- great CAS design too 🙂 Thanks for playing with us at Addicted to Stamps and More!
