A fab inspiration over at Muse this week with this stunner created by Bobby from Bits and Pieces:
This is such an eye catching card with the swirls popping off the dark background. I love the effect Bobby has created by colouring the embossing paste, but this is not something I have in my stash. I found the swirl stamp tucked away which came free with an old copy of Craft Stamper magazine and came up with my idea straight away. I used Memento ink in Dandelion to stamp the main image, then re-inked the edges of the stamp with Memento ink in Tangelo to give the swirl some dimension and to pick out more of the colour from the inspiration. The sentiments come from the Create a Smile ‘Jungle Fever’ stamp set. To make the words fit to the swirl I had to apply the stamps to my acrylic blog by bending them slightly to create the curve.
This should be my first post of the evening, second one to follow shortly, with any luck…
I would love it if you could take the time to comment – it always makes my day, Cx
Love this CAS take on Bobby’s textured swirls! The sentiment looks fab curled around the swirl 🙂
Fabulous take on Bobby’s card. I just love what you did with the sentiment.
This is a great CAS interpretation of my card. I love that you added extra color to the swirl and then curled the sentiment around it. Thanks for joining in the challenge at MUSE.
