I have failed dismally at blogging once a week but I do have an excuse – my partner and I decided to get married and we gave ourselves only 3 months to plan everything. Needless to say things have been hectic and the only craft time I have had was used to make all of our wedding stationary, including invitations, table plan, place names, favours and thank you cards. My plan is to wait until the New Year and I shall really focus on getting something new up each week.
I have had a chance to make a few hand made cards for Christmas and have a couple to show off.
I used Distress inks in Peacock Feathers, Broken China and Chipped Sapphire to create the background. I then stamped and embossed the sentiment in white (Most Wonderful Christmas from Woodware). The hanging stars are stamped in Versamark and then brushed over with Perfect Pearls in gold.
My second card is a little different:
I paper pieced the tree stamp using papers from Kaisercraft.
My third and final card for today is another blue one – I have reviewed my previous entries and have decided that I need to experiment with some new colour combinations!
Once again I have used Distress Inks to make the background then I have stamped a Chocolate Baroque snowflake in blue and white, then added some that have been embossed in gold. The stamp I used was a free one from Craft Stamper magazine, but there is a smaller version available with the Christmas Creatures Unmounted Rubber Stamp sheet. I added the sentiment by embossing onto vellum.
